Based on the educational field the possibility of affordable term papers as well as interdisciplinary integration can significantly enrich intrasubject integration (biology day in English, math week with access to other academic disciplines). Some institutions of higher education have gone even further: instead of the school "math week" or "biology week," universities practice microsemesters of weeks in length. Within microsemesters, 2 or 3 courses are studied, culminating in a micro-examination session. Is such a system possible in high school?

It is impossible to answer this question because the idea has not been tested. A priori it may be argued that the system of microsemesters is unlikely to be justified at the secondary school level, since the specificity of child psychology requires a long-term pace of assimilation. V.T. Fomenko has subtly noted that the processes of humanization, informatization, 292 ecologization, and regionalization, which are characteristic of modern education, are nothing other than integration processes.

Summarizing the above, the following options for the functioning of the educational process on an integrative basis can be distinguished:
1. An integrated course is formed from the content of subjects belonging to one and the same educational field. The specific weight of the content of one subject does not prevail over the content of the other; both scientific disciplines act on a parity basis.
2. An integrated course is created from the content of disciplines included in one and the same educational field or the same educational block, but based primarily on one subject area.
3. An integrated course is created from the content of disciplines that are part of different but close educational fields and that act "as equals."
4. An integrated course is created on the basis of disciplines from close educational fields, but one subject retains its specificity and the others act as an auxiliary basis.
5. Subjects of mutually distant educational areas and blocks are in the integrative connection, which is inherent in the varied part of the curriculum more often and is based on simultaneous thinking.
6. "Refraction" of general education discipline through the prism of school specificity (in profile schools).
