Overview on National Hydrology Project preparation guidance
This will provides a guideline to all implementing agencies on the necessary steps to be taken in the preparation of the National Hydrology Project (NHP). The subsequent sections include step-by-step instructions, templates, sample documents and reference materials to enable implementing agencies to 1) To prepare a detailed action plan 2) To quantify baseline and proposed requirements that are necessary for setting the indicators of the project.All agencies are requested to review each section thoroughly before submitting the required documents.

Readiness Criteria
The Department of Economic Affairs (DEA) has set stringent readiness criteria for making the National Hydrology Project (NHP) effective. To meet the readiness criteria, the following actions require immediate attention by all NHP implementing agencies (central and state): (1) Setting up of a Project Management Unit (2) Preparation of a Work-Plan for Year 1 and Year 2 (3) Preparation of a Procurement Plan for the first 18 months. The above mentioned documents need to be submitted to the Ministry of Water Resources (DoWR), RD & GR via the existing Management Information System (MIS) before 30th July 2016.
