Overview

The Land Use and Land Cover (LULC) data plays an import role in many kinds of spatial analysis and planning, from change detections, hydrological modelling to urban development & planning at local and as well as regional level. Moreover, it is one of the baseline data for sustainable management of our Natural Resources. It is needed to know the impact of any economic development on natural resources and environment. Various tools and methods are available for creating/collecting LULC data, but Remote Sensing technique is commonly used method to create LULC data with good accuracy using high resolution multispectral satellite imagery

Objective

This Training will guide user how to create LULC map using Remote Sensing Technique on QGIS platform including its accuracy analysis. In this training program, Landsat 8/sentinel 2 multispectral satellite imagery will be used to generate LULC data using semi-supervised methods.
