Overview

In recent years, Water Accounting Plus (WA+) has emerged as a key approach to understand water scarcity and identifying gaps and in-efficiencies in water resources management at the basin scale. Keeping this in view, NIH, Roorkee is organizing a 5 days training cum stakeholders’ workshop on Application of WA+ Tool for Water Resources Management-Subarnarekha Basin during April 13-17, 2020 at NIH, Roorkee under National Hydrology Project as part of the NHP training activities. The aim of this training cum stakeholders’ workshop is to make familiar the participants with WA+ technique and how best can we effectively utilize it to address the water management issues at basin scale. During this training, the participants will work on the following:  Downloading and process of various satellite data products using pre-developed tools  Application of WA+ Framework to understand the spatial and temporal variations in water consumptions and productivities
