A training program on "eSWIS/WIMS" during 16th to 18th February 2021 for officers from WRD, Government of Maharashtra
A training course was organized by National Hydrology Project, Maharashtra (SW) on topic "eSWIS/WIMS" during 16th to 18th February 2021 for officers from Water Resources Department, Government of Maharashtra at Maharashtra Engineering Training Academy, Nashik. This training was to introduce an online platform regarding the WIMS portal for data entry and data validation to officers. 13 participants attended training programme
The content for this training wason Introduction to WIMS and Hydro meteorological Data Types , WIMS User Management and Station Management , WIMS Series Management, WIMS Manual Data Entry, WIMS Data Validation and Data Import Tools etc.
A webinar on “Application of Statistics in Ground Water” on 8th -12th February
There were 24 participants dedicatedly selected and provided hands-on training on the topic of “Application of Statistics in Ground Water” by RGI. The key topics were about –Descriptive Statistics, Inferential Statistics, Application of statistics, Descriptive Statistics, availability of data, measures, Arithmetic Average, Mean, Mode, Range, Sample variance, Standard Deviation etc. The sessions have teamed with practical sessions, interactions with participants.
A webinar on “Overview of the Central Public Procurement/NIC/e-procurement portals”
On 25th Feb’2021, a webinar was organized by NPMU under the national program on “Overview of the Central Public Procurement/NIC/e-procurement portals”. The team consisted of Mr. Santosh Singh, Mr. Amit Sethi, procurement specialist, TAMC, and Mr. Altaf Hussain, CWC. The sessions were virtual interactions and demo sessions on procurement related. There were 47 participants. The objective was to impart training to the Implementing Agencies on procurement-related.
A webinar on “Input data builder for Artificial Recharge Structures"
On 26th Feb’2021, a webinar was conducted by NWIC on “Input data builder for Artificial Recharge Structures” by NWIC team consisting of Sh. HP Jayaprakash, Ms. Iti Gupta, Mrs. Sneha, Mrs. Shivani Bansal. The event consisted of vibrant presentations followed by practical sessions on the given topic. There were also interactive sessions and clarifications between participants and the NWIC team. There were 60 participants.

A training course organized on "Groundwater Salinity Issues and Management Solutions" under NHP during Feb 17-19, 2021. The training focussed on groundwater salinity issues and management solutions. They had lectures of Dr. Suresh Kumar, Sc. G & Head, ASD-IIRS, Dehradun, Dr. CL Verma, Senior Scientist-CSSRI, Karnal (RRS Lucknow), Dr. Anupma Sharma Sc. F , GWHD, NIH and Dr. Gopal Krishan, Sc. C, GWHD, NIH.
QGIS and its application in Surface and Groundwater Hydrology
The training program was organized from 22-26 February 2021 on the topic "QGIS and its application in Surface & Groundwater Hydrology, for the engineers of WRD, Rajasthan in collaboration with NIH Roorkee. 37 participants attended the training program. QGIS is free and open-source cross-platform desktop geographic information system (GIS) application that supports viewing, editing, and analysis of geospatial data allowing users to analyse and edit spatial information, in addition to composing and exporting graphical maps. This course was intended to enhance the understanding of WR staff in adapting to new technologies in the field of Surface & Ground water Hydrology.
Weekly training program on GIS & MIS for NPMU & TAMC staff under NHP.
Training about GIS & MIS tools & how to work with these tools for data sharing & uploading was given to all staff of NPMU to enhance knowledge and skills on GIS and MIS. This training is being organized at the NPMU office on weekly basis w.e.f. the first week of February 2021. The trainers were Mr. Harendra, GIS expert, TAMC, and Mr. Mohit Sharma, MIS Expert, TAMC, and their respective team members.
