On 14th January, a webinar was organized on “Team Work and Team Building training” under Soft Skills Development program. Mr. Amit Sethi, Procurement Specialist, TAMC has facilitated the webinar. There were some important points emphasized through case studies, video clippings, etc. in team-building aspects. There were 21 participants. The objective of the program is to enhance the soft skills of the IA team members in work situations.

On 15th January 2021, a webinar on “Input data builder for Artificial Recharge Structure” was held. The key contents being Artificial Recharge Structure Module, its functionality, development phases, ARS-Data Entry, ARS types, and subtypes, etc. It was organized by NWIC and facilitated by Ms. Iti Gupta, AD, and other team members of NWIC. There were 21 participants attended the program. There were few interactions between participants and facilitators and clarified their doubts
Three days online training programme on data Collection, Analysis & Validation:
A training programme on “Data collection, Analysis and Validation” under the National Hydrology Project during 19-21 January, 2021 was organized by CPCB through Indian Statistical Institute, New Delhi. This program provided a unique opportunity to participants to learn Statistical Methods for Data Collection, Analysis & Validation for water quality. Topics such as, Introduction and Brief about the Modules & Course Material regarding Laboratory Accreditation; M05-Clause- 8 Management system requirements; Introduction and Brief about the Modules & Course Material regarding OHSMS; OHSMS Terminology, OHSMS Fundamentals, OHSMS Requirements and Interpreting the ISO 45001 Requirements:– Clause 9 & 10 have been covered during training programme.
Data Collection, Analysis, and Validation for Water Quality Organized by CPCB. Webinar conducted by Indian Statistical Institute Delhi Centre (SQC & OR Unit)
From 19th to 21st January 2021, a three-day online course was organized by CPCB, New Delhi, and the training was conducted by Indian Statistical Institute Delhi Centre (SQC & OR Unit). There were 41 participants in the program. The key topics covered were probability (SKN), graphical tools in statistics, Statistical Distribution, ANOVA for water quality data analysis, six sigma concepts. Groundwater Modeling using MODFLOW by NIH, Roorkee
18th 22nd of January 2021, online training was conducted on “Ground Water Modeling” by NIH. There were 65 participants in this program.
Use of ADCP training in Meghalaya
Training on the use of ADCP was conducted in Mendipathar WRD office on 21st January 2021 followed by field training at Damring River, Bangalmura village. After the training, the ADCP will be used for the collection of discharge data of this river at the gauge station established in order to establish the stage-discharge curve of this river.
Use of Groundwater monitoring equipment
Training on the use of Groundwater monitoring equipment was conducted in Shillong on 21st January 2021 with field training in CGWB monitoring well in the office complex of the Chief Engineer, WRD, Government of Meghalaya, Shillong. The equipment is then issued to the district offices for collecting data from the piezometers constructed under NHP.
Five days training program on Hydro-Met & RTDAS equipment’s and its installation
CWPRS, Pune has organized a five-day online training course on Hydro-Met & RTDAS equipment’s and its installation for Water Resources Department, Andhra Pradesh (SW) under the National Hydrology Project during 18th - 22nd January 2021. The aspects covered Data Collection Platform for RTDAS, RTFROS, ROS, DSS, Automatic Weather Stations, Basics of Meteorology and Conventional Metrological Instruments in Hydrometric Context, Surface Water level Instruments. Faculties were Smt. Lata Gupta, Dr.Annapurna Patra, Dr.N.D.Atkekar from CWPRS. River Basin Modeling by NIH
From 25th to 29th January 2021, online training was held on “River Basin Modeling” by NIH. There were 40 participants. The faculties were from NIH. The key contents were Hydrological Modeling, Typical Applications of Catchment Hydrology, Conceptual Models, physically-based models, and Secondary data validation, and so on.
Experiential Sharing by Gujarat DWR on Water Resource Management by Gujarat DWRD
Mr. Paritosh Shukla, Deputy Executive Engineer, and the team have shared their knowledge and experience on the model rolled out “Reservoir / Water Management Application Gujarat State” in Gujarat. Mr. J.K. Trivedi, Nodal Officer has given due guidance and support to the team. 20 participants were present online and initiated good interactions.
