Shri Subodh Yadav, Joint Secretary (A, IC & GW)MoJS has reviewed the Flood Early Warning System for Godavari and Tapi River Basins developed by the National Remote Sensing Centre under National Hydrology Project on 01 April 2021. The National Remote Sensing Centre has made the Spatial Flood Early Warning System for Godavari and Tapi Basins operational. The accuracy achieved was more than 85% with a lead time of 48 hours. It has the potential to stop flood deaths through improved evacuation planning. |
