About the Conference.

In recent years, lot of technological advancements took place in the area of flood early warning. Spatial flood early warning is one among them gaining momentum due to availability of space based inputs, high resolution Digital Terrain Models, advanced modelling softwares, and high end computing systems. There is need to share the ideas on the technological trends in flood early warning system development. In view of this, it is proposed to organise a National Conference on "Flood Early Warning for Disaster Risk Reduction" jointly by National Remote Sensing Centre, ISRO, and Central Water Commission, MoWR, RD & GR under National Hydrology Project.
