Objective
India-WRIS likely has two data modules:
• Hydro-meteorological: Collects real-time data (rainfall, river discharge) for monitoring water availability, droughts, and floods.
• Legacy Data: Archives historical data (streamflow, groundwater levels) to aid research, planning, and understanding long-term trends.
By working together, these modules create a comprehensive water information system for India, supporting informed decision-making and water resource management.
